Message from the Board:
Dave Eisland, Board Chairman
35 years ago, the clergy and congregations of Sioux Falls decided to unite to form a common ministry rooted in relationship, designed to effectively care for people in our community who were struggling with finances. Today, that relationship still lives on through The Community Outreach. The value of a relationship in today’s society is too often undervalued. This is not the case at The Community Outreach.
The team at The Community Outreach pushes everyday to be available for those seeking assistance.
People of all ages need to see and feel the time and attention of others to really feel they have worth. This seems to be especially true when we are in financial crisis. I think God knew we needed more than written statements and material things to be fulfilled, and that is why He sent both his Son and the Holy Spirit. By offering fellowship and compassion, The Community Outreach staff & ministry partners are providing far more than a hand-out. Together, we are showing God’s love and helping people restore their sense of personal worth. And the even greater news is that once achieved, this sense of self-worth and recognition of God’s love is passed on for generations!
The Faith leaders of Sioux Falls recognized the value in relationships 35 years ago … and today, relationships are still at the foundation of The Community Outreach. Thank you for being in relationship with us so that we are better equipped to serve Him and well!
