Peter Nord Joins The Community Outreach

The Community Outreach is excited to announce that Peter Nord has joined our staff as the Development and Relationship Coordinator.  In his role, he will be sharing the mission and programs of The Community Outreach with local churches, businesses, and the community.  He will also be working to support the volunteers and mentors of the ministry.

Peter has been fundraising all his life, and professionally for three and a half years. A former camp director and current Eagle Scout, bass player, outdoorsman, and cook, he is always looking for a unique project to get behind and help grow.  From concept, development, to execution, seeing an idea become reality drives him forward.

Faith being an active part of his life, Peter attended Concordia University in Seward, Ne and graduated with a degree in history and pre-seminary.  At his church, Memorial Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, Peter serves on the Board of Elders.  He also serves on the board of directors for Main Street Living, a weekly television production broadcasting church services on KDLT.  Professionally, he is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – South Dakota Chapter on the Program Committee.  He is also a CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive).

Peter and his wife Ellie are both from Sioux Falls, and have been married for three years.  Together, they welcomed their first child, Owen, in November 2016.  As a family, they enjoy gardening, bike riding, exploring the community, and walking through the park.

Please join us in welcoming Peter!  To get in touch with him, please call him at 605-331-3935 ext. 107 or email him at peter@thecommunityoutreach.org!
