Becoming the voice and face of our ministry
Our part-time Volunteer Receptionists have the opportunity to answer each call and greet each person who comes to us for care. What a gift you will be to each of these people … and to our staff … by volunteering to serve 8 or more hours per month in this critical role!
Each volunteer receives a detailed orientation to our mission and programs … and to the mission and programs of many other ministries and agencies in our community that exist to help people in their struggle. We also spend considerable time preparing you to be personally confident and gifted in guiding people to the person or resource that most closely aligns with their need. And of course, you will have members of our team nearby should a question arise that you are not prepared for.
And while you guide people to the person or resource they need, you will have opportunities to connect with them. By providing encouragement, support, and at times prayer … you will impact their life as they take that important ‘next step’ towards self-sufficiency. You will also improve the effectiveness of our small staff by enabling us to focus more of our time in other areas that impact people’s lives.
