What is Genesis Mentoring?

Genesis Mentoring is a program for adults who want to make life changes to become more self-sufficient.

A mentee is matched with a volunteer mentor. They meet 12 times and go through a workbook. The workbook focuses on goal setting, budgeting, and other financial skills.

Your mentor can help you plan for the future.

A staff member is available to help you and the mentor with any questions throughout the process.

How do I get started?

  1. You meet with the Genesis staff member and fill out an application.

  2. You are matched with a mentor.

  3. You meet with a mentor and go through a workbook about finances. There are 12 meetings.

  4. A staff member is available to you and your mentor if you need additional resources.

  5. A staff member can continue meeting with you after the mentorship ends if you would like additional support to reach your goals.

Call us at 605-331-3935 or email Nate to get started.
